White Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit!
October is here.
I've said those words on the first day of every month for as long as I can remember. An old superstition says that saying White Rabbit first thing on the first morning brings good luck for the month ahead.
Do I believe it?
Who knows.
Do I say it anyway?
Absolutely.
And this morning, it occurred to me that houses have traditions.
So perhaps it's time for The Creative House to have one of its own.
On the first of every month, something here on the Front Porch will change. A new note from me. A thought. Something happening inside the House. Something I've noticed, made, wondered about, or simply feel like sharing.
No promises about what you'll find.
That would require adult supervision.
But there will be something.
So, on this first morning of October, our very first Creative House tradition begins.
White Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit. 🐇
May a little good luck follow you through whichever door you open next or even a rabbit hole if you follow that rabbit!

The Doors Are Open
Gracie insisted on greeting you herself.
For months, I've been quietly taking apart this old website and imagining what it might become.
Somewhere along the way, I stopped thinking of it as a website.
It became a House.
A place for my books and paintings, my journals and writing, the strange little things I'm curious about, the things I've made over the years, and whatever I happen to be making next.
Today, for the first time, The Creative House is open.
There is no tour you need to take and no particular order in which to wander.
Open a door.
Poke around.
Stay awhile.
Return often, as new things will arrive -- even in this section, perhaps the most mutable of all areas in The Creative House.
