My journey with journaling began at the age of 8 when I received my first diary. Over the years, they evolved into journals filled with song lyrics and doodles during high school. When I led Faerie Dance Tours to Ireland, they transformed into travelogues. With the arrival of my son, I discovered a passion for scrapbooking. Eventually, this path led me to Art Journals.
Initially, I filled store-bought journals through structured online programs, but I soon felt something was missing. While these programs provided a good starting point to learn techniques and explore various tools and mediums, creating art in large, multi-teacher settings began to feel hollow. As an artist, I craved depth and intention in my creativity. This realization became a catalyst, inspiring me to develop my own art journal courses. In 2018, I began offering these courses at the Costa Mesa Artist's Loft Studio and in my private home studio. It felt like finding my artistic calling!
Sharing Intentional Creativity Art Journaling with others has been incredibly fulfilling, as you can see from the expressions below. That's when I truly fell head over heels in love with it!

I believe that without setting an intention, our creations will inevitably lack depth and soul. It's the intention that shapes the essence of our creations, becoming the language spoken through the images and carrying the narrative of what we bring to life.
The program is structured around:
While I encourage following your intuition and exploring freely, I recommend completing each month's projects sequentially. This approach allows for a deep dive into each month's intention and theme, fostering continuity and depth of exploration.
Additionally, some months may feature only one or two projects spread out over several weeks.
Isn't that reason alone to enroll?
Both projects saw publication in ART JOURNALING magazine.
While not art journaling, I share a process for weaving a unique front cover for your journals!

Every body's making them these days, so why not you?
Getting small is a fun type of art journal to make. Some of these are from a mixed media 101 process you'll be encountering!
