A short video about The Artisan's Journal.
I got my first diary when I was 8 years old. I kept one for years and then they became journals in which I began to doodle. When I had Faerie Dance Tours and took people on sacred pilgrimages in Ireland, I kept travelogues. I fell in-love with scrapbooking, and eventually I found my way to Art Journals.
I filled-up store bought journals with organized online programs and got to a place where I felt incomplete. Yes, it was a good place to start. Yes, these programs were a good way to learn some basic techniques, experience some tools and mediums. Making art in these large multi-teacher programs were fun but too quickly became empty for me. I need substance or rather INTENTION behind my creativity. I even reached out to offer some of my intention spreads as a teacher to a few but never met acceptance.
Which is actually a blessings because it acted as a springboard into my own art journal courses. In 2018 I began teaching weekly in-person classes at the Costa Mesa Artist's Loft Studio and in my private home studio. I found mecca!
As you'll see from the faces below, sharing Intentional Creativity Art Journaling with others is awesome. That's when I fell-head-over-heels in love Love LOVE with it!
Whether you know it or not, I do a weekly LIVESTREAM on my TWITCH.TV channel. (Find out more here.) I often set a theme for a month or two, and in 2021/22 I gave an 8 month ART JOURNAL CLUB!
I used the Twitch.TV episode reruns as the foundation for this program. I wanted to provide the sense of uniqueness and fun experienced during those eight months.
But, I didn't stop there. I scoured all my art journal videos on youtube and vimeo and still in computer files and broadened the eight months into twelve!
I gave each month a fun theme/intention and packed each full of videos, which resulted in a mega bundle of art journaling projects.
I believe our creations will always lack soulful depth without intention. It is the intention that sets the tone of the creation, that becomes the language of the images, that holds the backstory of what we create.
So, you know what? When designing this course into 12 months of themed art journaling projects, I not only ensured each month has a specific intention but designed it so you don't have to go month-to-month. You can navigate through the months in whatever order you wish. Hopscotching according to your current interest.
However, with that encouragement, I do recommend working through an entire month before moving to another. Doing so will provide a dive into the intention / theme of the month, thus providing a greater sense of continuity. Plus, some months might be just one or two projects that were filmed over multiple weeks.
Isn't that reason alone to enroll?
I know you want to know what they are, but if I tell you upfront it will spoil the surprise! Here's a hint: both saw publication in ART JOURNALING magazine.
I can't promise how long they will be included in this course, but for the remainder of 2023 they are!
While not art journaling, I share a process for weaving a unique front cover for your journals!
These are little how-to videos. How to make your own washi tape. How to make texture paste. How to create an altered book and some fun spreads for that... and even more EXTRAS!
This is a MEGA BUNDLE of my love of art journaling!
Let's create & smile together.
Register today and receive 2
HUGE SURPRISES while they
are included!
So much fun! You can't ever make a mistake.
Some find altering an old book is a challenge because they feel they are defacing it, but I'm going to share a LOT of insight into why you may consider doing it.
This is a fascinating process in understanding what transformational art is!
Every body's making them these days, so why not you?
Getting small is a fun type of art journal to make. Some of these are from a mixed media 101 process you'll be encountering!
Small & compact, a great way to capture your travel memories. This includes making an art travel pack to tuck into your luggage.
Yep, that's what this program is ALL about and you'll make some!
I'll give you a hint... one was published in the 2023 Spring Issue of Art Journaling Magazine AND the other is coming out in 2023 Summer!
Once you register you will receive a Welcome email with Our Classroom information, which is where ALL the yummy goodness will be found.

REGARDING REFUNDS: This is a delicate situation. The truth is we never know if we're going to like something that we must make a bit of an investment in. Due to the nature of the program and the fact that you receive immediate access to all of it, I do not give refunds and trust that this is not only understandable but accepted at the time of REGISTRATION.
Every recording covers the supplies I use. While it's cool to buy new things for a course, you will find I am more about using what you have. I know I might introduce you to some new mediums and tools and when I do, those are the ones you might be interested in grabbing.
