Because I love to work with many different mediums and layers upon layers, I often work with a technique called "mixed media". The layers aren't use to "cover-up" mistakes but rather might be considered as the "backstory" of each piece. You've heard the saying, "Every picture tells a story"? Well a piece of mixed media art truly tells a story IF you look at it long and go deep into the sub-layers.
Shown below are some of my past mixed media pieces prior to my migration into becoming an Intentional Creativity Artist & Coach, which by the way can, or at least, when I do the method, be also considered mixed media.
I will also share some of my past intentional creativity paintings, which all have a Sacred Feminine or Goddess look.
No matter how deeply I am pulled into the canvas, I always find myself coming back to work in my art journals and altered books. These are my diaries, the record of my trials and errors. My successes and my joy at creating with other women.
Art journaling is a true marriage between my writing and my art, which is why I do love it so much!
Here is a short video made of the first virtual zoom exhibition held in 2020, the first year of the Covidian Era.
