In 2020 during Covid Lockdown I turned to the art and craft supplies I had laying around, gathered them together and sprang into a 27 week Twitch Series that has resulted in a fun art journal course I dubbed ~ WaShe Tapes, Left-over scrapbook supplies and PAPER QUILTS.
We are in the third year of a life change worldwide and all of us are looking back at how we were individually affected.
As an artist I kept creating but with the loss of income I, like so many were experiencing, turned to what I already had to keep creating. I dove into stored boxes in my garage and came across one filled with scrapbooking supplies.
At first I thought they were useless for my focus and pushed the box back into place. But the next day my mind kept going to them. I relented and carried the box to my art studio. It didn't take me long to see that I could make art journals out of the left-over supplies from my scrapbooking days.
During that time I'd also started looking at my quilt supplies and the unfinished quilts, thinking maybe I could finish them. So, I found myself merging the three art forms together and well, this course is the result of that.
Create an art journal from your left-over supplies in two sizes.
Learn traditional geometric blocks using fun techniques.
Apply the whimsical and scrappy technique of applique.
Old fashion crazy quilts give new and interesting pages.
